Littleton Police Investigating an Attempted Kidnapping

UPDATE: April 22, 2025, 11:30 a.m.

The Littleton Police Department (LPD) arrested 32-year-old Andrew Salazar in connection with the attempted kidnapping that occurred on April 19, 2025. Salazar is being held at the Arapahoe County Jail on a $100,000.00 bond. There is no threat to the community at this time, and this is an ongoing investigation. Through the on scene investigation, a suspect was identified and subsequently arrested. This will remain an ongoing investigation and no further information is available at this time.

Littleton Police patrol officers responded to a reported attempted kidnapping of a juvenile female, which occurred around 4:30 p.m. in the 6800 block of South Prince Way. It was reported that the female and her friend had been riding their bicycle when an unknown male grabbed one of the girls from behind. The female was able to break free from the male, and both girls rode their bike to safety as the male fled the area. The male was initially described as an Asian male with long hair pulled up into a bun.  Through the investigation it was determined the male was an unknown ethnicity, but appeared to have a tanned complexion with dark hair and was described as wearing a red sweatshirt and black pants.  Patrol officers responded to the area, searching for the male, however, at this time he has not been located and his identity remains unknown. The Littleton Police Investigations division responded and is currently seeking any information on this incident. They are canvassing the surrounding neighborhood for any witnesses, or video which may have recorded the incident.
