The Littleton Police Department (LPD) received a call of an armed robbery in Promise Park at 2:47 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21.
Out of an abundance of caution, LPD placed Littleton Public High School (LPHS) and Littleton Preparatory Charter School (LPCS) on a secure perimeter and sent a shelter in place notice to individuals in the immediate neighborhood.
LPD learned that three suspects had robbed a juvenile at gunpoint and had taken a backpack and shoes. Once LPD believed it to be safe, they partnered with Littleton Public Schools (LPS) to release students at both schools with an increased police presence and lift the secure in place notice.
Just after 4:00 p.m. LPD made two arrests in the case. All individuals in this incident are between the ages of 14 and 17. Due to the fact that all are juveniles, LPD will not be releasing further information.
