Law Enforcement Memorial at Mission Hills Church

The memorial service for Golden Police Officer Evan Dunn will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Mission Hills Church, 620 Southpark Drive, Littleton, CO 80120.


Beginning around 10 a.m. intermittent road closures, affecting County Line Road and other roads and areas around Mission Hills Church will be in place.

 

Community members are invited to safely show support along the sidewalks of Southpark Drive and Southpark Lane. We recommend arriving in the area no later than 11:00 am in order to view the procession. The best approach will be southbound from Mineral Avenue on Southpark Lane or Southpark Way, and proceeding to the observation area on foot.

A Black Hawk helicopter from the Colorado Army National Guard 2-135th Aviation Regiment will conduct a flyover and land in the area of Mission Hills Church prior to the beginning of the service. Please do not attempt to fly drones in the area.


Officer Dunn’s family and the Golden Police Department greatly appreciate all of the outreach and condolences from the community; however, the memorial services will not be open to the public. 


The Littleton Police Department is working closely with the Golden Police Department and the Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation. LPD would like to thank businesses and residents in the area for their understanding and patience during these closures.


Golden Police Department Memorial: 

A Golden Police Department patrol vehicle is parked outside of Golden City Hall, located at 911 10th Street, Golden, CO 80401, for receiving caring notes and/or other forms of support that the public may want to leave for Officer Dunn’s family and Golden Police Department.

Monetary donations to Officer Dunn’s family may be made through the Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation.
