On Tuesday, March 14 at around 10 p.m. the Littleton Police Department (LPD) responded to a call of shots fired in the 8200 block of South Ogden Circle. There they discovered a 47-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was able to identify the suspect as 30-year-old Sharayah Kissell.
Littleton Detectives believe this was an isolated incident as Kissell had a known relationship to the victim.
As the investigation progressed, Littleton Detectives tracked Kissell to Alamosa County, Colorado and in the early morning hours of March 16, law enforcement partners at the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) and the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) were notified of the suspect’s location. As those agencies attempted to make a traffic stop on Kissell she fled, and a vehicle pursuit ensued. Ultimately, she was taken into custody after the deployment of tire-deflating devices.
The victim in this incident remains in the hospital in stable condition.
The safety and security of the Littleton community are LPD’s top priority. LPD would like to thank the law enforcement partners and the Littleton community for their assistance in this case.
