All city offices and facilities including the Littleton Center, Bemis Library, the Littleton Museum, and Littleton Municipal Court will be closed Monday, January 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911. The non-emergency phone number for the Littleton Police Department is (303) 794-1551
The Littleton Police Department (LPD) and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) provide the public the opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.
Bring medicines for disposal to the Littleton Center, 2255 W. Berry Avenue in Littleton, during normal business hours and drop then in the disposal box in the front lobby. LPD can only accept pills or patches; no liquids, needles, or sharps. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
Helping people dispose of potentially harmful prescription drugs is just one way the LPD is working to reduce addiction and stem overdose deaths.
The FDA also provides information on how to properly dispose of prescription drugs. For more information about the event, call the LPD at 303-795-3881 or visit the DEA's Drug Take Back site.
